To know where you’re going, it helps to know where you’ve been. As Degreed looks to its future, both immediate and long-term, our updated brand is inspired by our history. That means staying true to our blue, leaning into a sleeker pair of glasses, and being ever mindful of the mission that got this whole thing started in the first place: for Degreed to be the de facto way that skills are built and put to work.
And of course, that’s got us feeling nostalgic about our early days. The days of sleeping on an air mattress in our second San Francisco office, sleeping on the CEO’s couch, sleeping in airports, sleeping on planes, sleeping in shared hotel rooms, and sleeping in hotel rooms with holes in the ceiling.
Add to that burning orange-hot, building a team of smart and empathetic people, and cultivating a culture of curiosity with everyone wearing lots of hats in order to close deals and keep Degreed growing — all that has led us to where we are now. Let’s just say that our sleeping situation has improved and we don’t have to share hotel rooms anymore (though sometimes we like to just for old times’ sake.)
